The pillars of this wine road are pleasant towns, like Berghausen, Ehrenhousen, Gamlitz, Leutscach, Schloßberg and Ratsch.
In vineyards, the most common variety is Welschriesling, whereas in the Styrian region the most recognized variety is Sauvignon. The region is also known as the land of Traminer. In the western part, we can also find a special variety of rosé wine – Schiller. Food lovers would never miss the opportunity to taste the genuine Styrian pumpkin seed oil and dishes prepared with pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oil. Fruit and herbal liquors, vinegars, jams, jellies and other delicacies are some of the flavours which are proudly represented here.
Viny hills, slopes covered with apple trees and old mixed forests offer delightful and interesting hikes. Easy hiking trails and family-friendly cycling trails lead past sunny wineries offering regional delicacies.
