Responsibility to the environment and nature
Responsibility to the environment and nature
Our commitment to environmental responsibility and nature conservation is reflected in our daily operations, new investments, and the maintenance of energy systems. We aim for continuous progress in using renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and thereby reducing our environmental impact.
By installing energy-efficient systems, we have significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions and plan further investments in energy renovation of our facilities. Solar panels have been installed on the roofs of our largest centres, Perla and Park, as well as at Hit’s technical centre. In the Perla, Park, Mond, and Korona centres and at Sabotin Hotel, we use high-efficiency systems for combined heat and power production, while at Špik Hotel, we have installed groundwater heat pumps for heating purposes. In all our units, we have updated our lighting systems with energy-saving fixtures.
We have implemented various other improvements to reduce the use of water, energy, plastics, cleaning supplies, and restaurant and hotel linens, and we place a strong emphasis on recycling and reusing materials. Our gastronomy offers consistently emphasize fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Our commitment to sustainability
Our sustainability efforts are validated by international environmental certifications awarded to Hit’s hotels, including Mond (Ecolabel), Ramada Resort Kranjska Gora (Travelife), and hotels Lipa, Sabotin, and Camp Špik (Green Key).
We are part of Slovenia’s Green Scheme of Tourism and are continually dedicated to promoting environmentally responsible practices among our partners, employees, and guests.
