Franc Golob was born in Celje in 1941 and studied under professors Marij Pregelj and Maksim Sedej at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, graduating in 1970. He produced multimedia projects and exhibition installations throughout the 1970s and was also a graphic design and photography consultant for the Postojna Cave.

Work
Golob’s art often reflects his fascination with capturing the essence of different places, creating sketches and watercolors that document unique environments, landscapes, historical sites, and moments from modern life. His sketches and paintings offer authentic, immediate impressions of each locale’s distinctive form and appearance.
